  • What Sunrise is doing in San Diego:

    • Supporting Front line Communities in their right to vote.

    • Supporting GND champions

    • Assisting our community (mutual aid work)

    • Addressing local environmental and social justice challenges

    • Many different volunteer opportunities with flexible scheduling!

    • Different teams are available based on interest and availability

  • Participate in weekly zoom calls!

  • Youth4Climate also has a DIY handbook about how to start an environmental club at your school!

Working groups:

  • Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion working group (second Tuesday of the month at 5:00 PM)

  • Building Awareness and Support working group (biweekly on Mondays at 2:00 PM)

  • Transforming Political Power working group (third Saturday of the month at 11:00 AM)

  • Activist Engagement and Operations working group (meeting as needed)

  • Kate Sessions planted 100 trees each year in Balboa Park, and now we are working to plant 100 trees in every neighborhood.

  • Invest in canopy, community and climate action.
